State Round 3 & State Round both held in Geraldton on the same weekend.
The conditions prior to the Sunday were good but a bit big. One of those swells were you drove around all day looking for suitable spot to run a contest.
The swell was stated at 4-5 metres and the waves appeared to be nearly double head high on a board rider in places.
We opted for the Sunday as the swell was to drop. As it turned out the surf was still large in the sets and we were able to run the contest at Bluff Point Geraldton.
As we finished the contest the breezed dropped a little and the waves cleaned up with a lower tide.
